Just the Recipe Waldorf Salad

A classic salad from the 1950’s. Couldn’t go to a get-together and not find a bowl of this yummy crispy crunchy nutty salad! Heavy on the fruits and veggies.

Servings: 8 (1/2 C) Calories per Serving: 225 Equipment: Cutting board and knife. Medium mixing bowl. Whisk and stirring spoon.

3/4 C Celery, chopped

3/4 C Walnuts, chopped

2 1/2 C Apples, diced

1/2 C Raisins

1 1/2 T granulated Sugar

1/3 C Mayonnaise

1 t Lemon Juice

Dash table Salt

3/4 C Heavy Cream, whipped.

  1. Mise en place work. Prep/chop ingredients, whip the heavy cream.
  2. In the mixing bowl, whisk the sugar, mayo, lemon juice and salt til mixed well.
  3. Add the fruits, veggie and walnuts to the bowl and mix gently.
  4. Fold the heavy cream into the mix until just incorporated.
  5. Chill for at least 2 hours, then serve chilled.
