ChefGoddess.com

This is my personal recipe site to share my grandmother’s recipes, with my own personal recipes shared on occassion. I imagine you all can appreciate my wish to focus on my treasured Grandma. I have a section of my flower garden dedicated to her as a memory space, all yellow flowers, her favorite.
You’ll find recipes at the top, helpful tips and tricks relating directly to the recipe in the middle and if there is a story, it’s at the bottom or linked to the story posted on another site. If one cares.
Sometimes you just want the recipe.
I am a personal chef, too scared to open a restaurant. Seems a hard and risky business, perhaps not the best for one who needs to have control over her menu and ingredients. So I cook for myself and gift food to others and beam in the compliments. I manage a thousand square foot garden. Mostly produce and some flowers. I freeze, can and use as much harvest as I can in season. Additionally, I have a small backyard orchard harvesting blueberries, raspberries, apples, peaches and cherries. As of 2023, we have two pear trees as well! It’s rewarding work. Just the dahlias alone make me smile.
Welcome!

For more information about my garden, I do have a youtube channel. Mostly gardening help and pretty backyard tours, but some interesting weather events as well. Mother Nature seems to drop the most fascinating weather phenomenon right to the front door of our neighborhood porches.
Or from a back deck, I have a few photographs of funnel clouds spinning up back there too. Right over the garden and under the stormy blue prairie sky.
Shot from a neighbor’s home. Just wow! This a a haboob, similar to the dust storms that ravaged the prairies back in the 1930’s.
